Why isn't Doxie Pro responding when I push buttons on the device to scan?

Doxie Pro should respond when you push buttons on the control panel to scan. Here's how to troubleshoot:

  1. Did you install Doxie's software? Make sure to install Doxie's software before plugging Doxie into the computer. Doxie needs its software to scan. Without the software, nothing will happen when you tap the Scan button on Doxie's control panel.
  2. Is Doxie's software running? If Doxie's software is installed, is it currently running? Open the Doxie software first, look for it to be recognized by the software, and then try scanning again. Does the software see your scanner, and are you now able to push the button to start scanning?
  3. If you're still having trouble, restart Doxie. Try restarting Doxie by holding down the power button for about 3 seconds to turn it off. Then, hold the same button for 1 second to turn it back on. You can also unplug it and plug it back in to restart it.
